Project Description:
Loophouse produced a series of rugs within the landmark central London headquarters building of leading publishing company Hachette UK. Bringing together seven publishing divisions, with the desire to maintain its own identity yet promote a sense of community under one roof.
The rug designs and colours were selected sympathetically to its surroundings for each one of the publishing divisions. The overall design draws on inspiration from a classic home with the rugs based around the more transitional design and colour approach. Hues of blues combined with botanical influences set the tone for some of the spaces. Incorporating the blue mood with creams seen within the ABEY rug, moving to cream with a pop of orange in the ROCKEFELLER rug then breaking into scribbles and pinks with brights for the LITTLE ACORNS rug design. Rug designs that coordinate and echo and enhance their environment.
